While we are waiting for whatever will happen on Friday regarding the release of the Epstein files, the President did us a pretty big favor last night.
well the moron rants on while we sit and wait for it to backfire, which is has to. Heaven knows we can't take much more of this. I do take comfort in knowing that he's destroying himself, it hurts that he's taking so much good down with him. But we can and will rebuild. Stay strong and listen to the cats purr is what I tell myself
I just couldn't watch that fiasco last night. I knew I would get everything I needed to know from people who can separate the wheat from the chaff. If there was any real wheat. How have I missed the whole defacing the wall of Presidents? Maybe on one of the days when I stuck my head in the sand. Janie thank you for your hard work. I'm waiting for tomorrow with hope and anxiety. Will it make a difference?
I made comment on Robert Reich's SubStack this am. He was expressing his fear that this out of control demented man in the White House may choose to do something extreme. Admittedly I share the same fear at least this morning. My rage and disgust have reached new heights and so now fear has taken its place. The demented man in the White House is being backed into a wall. Could he do great harm? Possibly. He holds too much power in his position and has influence over his staff who fear him. Instability in leadership has always plagued mankind. Let's face it, we are far from a perfect species. Mistakes of the past have caused the deaths of millions. My hope is that more will begin to realize that we do not have a rational leader. The rest of the free world sees it. Why can't members in the House and Senate see what has become so obvious. His removal from power is imperative. My CT reps in the House and Senate know it. How about your state? Call your reps now. Let them know we have to remove this man from office. To just go along with this madness will be at our peril.
I think that the reason he didn’t mention war, is because it’s the holidays, and he was probably warned not to (it would cause mass chaos or even protests). I believe that he will announce it, in another speech. Last night was insane, with his manic boasting, lying, and insulting rhetoric… and then “Merry Christmas”🙄 As far as the plaques that totally disrespect the former Presidents (looks like they belong on an 8th grade bathroom wall), I want to know who made them…and who installed them! We’ll see what happens tomorrow with the date to finally release the Epstein files… although really the President could have released them at any time sooner.
Thanks for writing Janie. I, too, heard tidbits about the Jack Smith testimony that had to occur behind closed doors. But, what bothered me was that JJ and others blocked it from the public. Hiding Always! I did not watch him, but I did see a picture this morning. His right side of his face was very droopy.
I comfort myself knowing immediately when a new administration takes over that all that tacky Liberace crap will be tossed in a dumpster, any trace of him put on a burn pile, Rose Garden replanted, East Wing rebuilt. Karma is coming.
After my own Heart again, of course, Janie. I am ill and knew i didnt want to get SICKER. Would not watch the orange insane narcissist. i hope the ratings sucked. ok.. one year until the midterms. Things ... will... change. In the mean time- "the cruel in between time"- it will suck. at least Ven. doesnt have nuclear weapons. God Help us.
Hey Janie, I agree with what your dad said about war and the economy as I remember my mom saying the same thing many years ago. I didn't watch the speech last night (didn't have the stomach for it and I already knew it would be full of lies). The White House looks like a brothel (and not even an interesting one). I'm still waiting for the 'Rooms Rented by the Hour' sign to go up. I guess in spite of it all we need to stand together and push back wherever we can. Have a safe Holiday.

Then to stop Naturalization ceremonies... OMG. I can't be more angry at anyone like I am with this president.
