Good Morning! Well, all of us informed citizens have been waiting to see what the tipping point was for the general population, haven’t we? As the administration becomes more and more outrageous in its actions, we just think we can’t help but get there. I had been counting on financial pressures, but they may not be happening as fast as I thought they would, although there is a definite rise in prices all over the place.
But now I think it will be the sending troops into our cities. Washington DC isn’t really the same, we know that. But when troops arrive in Chicago? Troops from other states coming uninvited and unwelcome into a sovereign state? That’s not gonna fly with Governor Pritzker. This Administration has in the past backed down when confronted with a formidable opponent (TACO anyone?) so my money is on Pritzker. But this has the potential to become a significant conflict—in Chicago or some other democratically governed city. We have to be prepared for that. We have to think about a major confrontation, and who will be on which side. Will our military turn against us?
And let’s not forget the Epstein Files. Just keep in mind that there was something so egregious in those documents that three huge entities—JP MorganChase, Deutsche Bank and the US Virgin Islands have paid out a total of $440 million dollars to victims of Epstein, in settlement of what was to become a class action suit. They have paid $440 million dollars to stop the girls from talking.
I had wondered if there were so many victims of this crime, why so few have been talking about it. And now we know—because they have settled and I would assume have non-disclosure agreements now. This scandal is the epitome of the financial corruption and moral rot in our country now. We cannot cleanse ourselves of this without full disclosure and accountability.
Follow the fucking money, pray for our soldiers, be prepared.
Personal Note: I will be out of range for a few days, traveling NORTH. Will check in when I get there :)
Here in Massachusetts, Boston Mayor Wu has thrown down the gauntlet and Governor Healy will have her back. We are in full Revolutionary War education and celebration mode here, so this threat to Democracy adds understanding of our ancestors struggles. I'm reading "The Minutemen and Their World" and the lead up to the Rev War is remarkably similar. The people were divided, yet trying to live their lives. Eventually, there was a "spark" and the war began. I'm not an advocate for a war but I will say, Massachusetts still retains it's revolutionary character. Let the bastards come.
In my world where everything is crumbling down around me, you are a light in the dark. Knowing you are still out there speaking truth and asking the questions we all have helps me know that I am not alone. Things are bad in my world, but you sharing your thoughts and feelings, helps me see that there still is good left in our country even if it isn't around me. Thank you, it may not seem like you do much, but it means a lot to me. Thank you.
